Mean Girls [May. 1st, 2004|08:49 pm]
한국 사람이 아니다

Did you go to high school? Did you get ostracised or picked on or stabbed in the back or ignored or teased or made to feel like an utter and complete goober? Then you're part of approximately 99% of the population of the United States, if not the world, and you need to see Mean Girls.
Remember how Clueless looked like just another lame teen comedy, but it was actually quite clever and smart, and appealed to everyone and not just teens? Well, it's like that. The screenplay is written by Tina Fey, who also co-stars, based on the book Queen Bees and Wannabes.

It's brilliant. It's got high school down...and the scary thing is, even if you're 40, life just has not changed all that much. It will mean more if you're female, but I think men can identify with some of this, too. I don't want to say too much and spoil it for anyone. Just go see it.

Aye Cap'n!

I'll get right on that.

However, I wasn't really ostracized, that I could detect.
I fell in with the freaks in both high schools I attended.

I was picked on a bit in junior high,
but those people didn't follow me to high school.

but yeah, I'll go see it. :)

Maybe I will go with my new friend Michelle from work.
We saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again on Saturday. And I cried like a baby again.
