...and turned on ESPN2, but it's freaking Tennis and not WBC.

However, stupidly or not, I let myself look at the trailer on the bottom of the screen. And all I have to say is...

[Current Music |USA-Mexico, 2-1 Mex in the 6th]

Watching the game last night, I had the most horrid, terrifying realisation:

Despite being on at 3am, despite having a bunch of unfamiliar Korean and Japanese names to pronounce, despite having a bunch of random Asian league stats to recite, the ESPN announcers?

Still did a far better job than the Fox announcers did during the playoffs. *Cough*BrandonArroyo*Cough*

And oh look, no multicultural Scooter.

This one ad makes me want to vomit: I'm Roger Clemens, American. Well, hoo the frick ray for you, asshole.

Last night they were talking about those titanium necklace thingys; apparently they are all the rage in Japan. They mentioned that Randy Johnson is the spokesman for them in Japan. Funny thing is, I knew that: I have to look at his fugly face everytime I go into my local Japanese grocery.

I am sorry, but I find it surreal that, in the 6th inning, Mexico leads the US 2-1. I don't know if I can take a third Korea-Japan game.

Two articles about Choi Hoon: Korea Times (with a photo of Choi-she looking a lot like a Korean John Cusack) and The New York Times (with some translations and a Red Sox shout-out). I need to look for his mythical MLB Afternoon book in Korea.
