A week ago today, Domo spent an afternoon in Miami's South Beach.
Domo on the way to the actual beach...
There is some amazing architecture in South Beach. It's like a shrine to Art Deco, and the buildings are all painted in colours you just don't see in New York or Boston (although you do see them in San Francisco, to some extent).
The cars are just as retro, and just as colourful...
While South Beach is, very obviously, a playground for the wealthy
(in the same way that the Hamptons and the Cape tend to be), not everyone is rich.
These (apparently) homeless men were settled in a park along a main street and near both the beach and a
public restroom. They seemed to be having a pretty nice day. The wheelchair is what caught my attention.
You can't really see it in this photo unfortunately, but there is a woman drumming in the center of the group.
The women standing are actually dancing; the others were clapping and singing.
Exhausted after his walk, Domo naps under a palm tree.
