Part one of three

It all started with the bluejays. I love them, and the other day, while walking through the Fens, they were so tantalisingly close to my camera...

These were the best I could manage...not too bad, considering.

The morning fog made Mr. Robin Redbreast look almost like a watercolour painting.

This Canada goose was off by itself, having a contemplative moment.

I also caught this male grackle in all his Technicolor glory.

Hard to believe that all this nature exists almost
within sight of the city's second-tallest building.

The squirrels, for some reason, are attracted to me; I'm not sure what it is.
Maybe they just know a nut when they see one.

This is my favourite statue in the Public Garden. I just love everything about it.

(Next: Duck battle!)

This whole series of photos is great! I'm looking for a new, amsll, camera so I can carry one with me always. What do you use to deal with the photos on your computer and upload them?

Re: D'oh!

I have a Fuji FinePix F10; this I got for Christmas because my old Fuji FinePix F401 had been outgrown. It uses XD cards, and I have a USB card-reader to upload them to my computer, or to make prints at CVS.

I love it. I've had a Fuji FinePix camera since January 2003, and I don't think I'd go to a different brand.

Seeing that squirrel reminded me of a story from when we were in Boston. We were walking thru the park and enjoying all the scenery when we walked past a man with a camera near a tree. We saw that he was snapping pictures of the tree squirrels. No big deal.

But, then he stopped us as we walked by and asked us if we would take a picture of him.....feeding the squirrel.

I kept walking, the man was nutty (pun intended) and I just wanted to get lunch but Jesse stopped and grabbed the mans camera.

We stood there for 5 minutes waiting for this man and this poor little squirrel to pose 'right' for the picture. He wanted to be sure we got a picture of him actually feeding the squirrel (who, by the way, was running round and round the tree to escape).

Nutball! I'll bet he has a whole photo album of self-portraits of him and the Boston Squirrels. LOL
